WP2 develops innovative, PFAS-free process technologies equipped with real-time monitoring and sensing solutions. This work package focuses on ensuring process reliability, safety, and compatibility with emerging green materials. -
Work Package 3 - Environmentally friendly materials alternatives

Description:
WP3 identifies and validates sustainable alternatives to PFAS-based materials used in semiconductor manufacturing. It balances performance, environmental safety, and scalability to enable a true green transition. -
Work Package 4 - Minimization of waste and emissions
Lead Partner: Fraunhofer
Description:
WP4 quantifies and reduces waste, emissions, and resource use across the semiconductor process chain. It integrates life cycle analysis and circular economy principles to minimise the environmental footprint of GENESIS innovations. -
Work package 5 – Materials scarcity impact mitigation

Description:
WP5 addresses the risks linked to critical raw material scarcity. It evaluates substitution options, supports recovery and recycling efforts, and ensures resource resilience in future semiconductor supply chains. -
Work Package 6 – Regulations, Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation
Lead Partner: SEMI Europe
Description:
WP6 drives visibility, stakeholder engagement, and policy alignment for the GENESIS project. It manages all outreach, regulatory monitoring, and exploitation strategies to ensure lasting industry and societal impact.
